Natasha Rothenbucher
Associate Director
Natasha Rothenbucher is an Associate Director at ViaNova, based in Washington, DC. She partners with clients to design, implement, and evaluate giving programs and strategies across a range of issues, including economic justice, maternal health, and environmental justice.
On client engagements, Natasha leads research and deliverable development and manages program implementation. She also brings expertise in trust- and relationship-based grantmaking.
Prior to joining ViaNova Natasha worked as a Senior Program Associate in the Emergency Assistance Program at Freedom House, managing intake, vetting, and processing short-term rapid-response grants for at-risk human rights defenders and civil society organizations in the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa. Additionally, she managed a portfolio of subgrants to international civil society organizations focused on providing psychosocial support to survivors of persecution.
Natasha graduated from Duke University with a double major in International Comparative Studies and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. She graduated with high distinction for her senior honors thesis on Jordanian national identity and participated in several study-abroad programs in Amman, Jordan, where she strengthened her Arabic language skills and interned with organizations that support refugees in the community.
