Lydia Guterman

Managing Director


Lydia Guterman helps clients at all stages of their philanthropy journey design, implement, and learn from equity-focused and data-informed philanthropic strategies that drive resources to where they are needed most.

Lydia has led strategy, built grantmaking initiatives, and helped establish multi-donor collaborations in early education, affordable housing, environmental justice and health. Previously, she was a program officer at the Helmsley Charitable Trust and Open Society Foundations, where she developed large global and domestic grantmaking strategies to expand healthcare access and protect human rights. 

Lydia has also worked with the International HIV/AIDS Alliance and the Treatment Action Group. She is a proud member of the board of directors of the Hetrick-Martin Institute, the nation’s oldest organization helping LGBTQ+ youth reach their full potentials. 

She holds a BA from UNC Chapel Hill and an MPH from Columbia University.
