Associate Director

Maria works with families and individuals to help manage their personal grantmaking and foundation operations. Her portfolio crosses a range of sectors and issues, including early childhood education and care, environment, women and girls, and arts and dance.

Prior to ViaNova, Maria worked at an intermediary grantmaking organization, overseeing teams responsible for validation for grantees around the world. She conducted due diligence, practiced risk-based assessment approaches, maintained best practices in international giving, and helped develop custom validation processes.

Maria graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in international relations and in NGOs and social change.
