Emma Creighton

Associate Director

Emma Creighton serves the firm’s extensive portfolio of individual, institutional, and corporate clients working at the intersection of strategy, philanthropy, and social impact. At ViaNova, she has contributed to the strategy development, grants management, and operational improvements for client partners mobilizing philanthropic capital across issue areas, including equitable access to healthcare, early childhood education, climate and conservation, and environmental justice organizing.

Prior to joining ViaNova, Emma was a fellow at a trust-based, community-led international grantmaking nonprofit. In this role, she was responsible for conducting due diligence reviews and managing grantmaking workstreams for grantees in the US and in more than 200 countries. She served as a primary point of contact for grantees, supporting them through due diligence, proposal development, and reporting across multiple grantmaking programs.

Emma graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in English nonfiction writing, a certificate in global studies with a focus on governance and economy, and a Chinese minor. A keen interest in education equity, participatory development, and social impact led Emma to serve as a university English language teacher with Peace Corps Mexico and as an AmeriCorps VISTA leader at an education nonprofit.
