Abby Degenhart is a Director at ViaNova, based in Colorado. She partners with clients to design and implement philanthropic and impact investing strategies, including sourcing and diligencing investment and grant opportunities, building and managing grantmaking programs, leading RFP processes, facilitating donor and board education, and stewarding donor collaborations.

Abby’s portfolio spans a wide range of geographies and issue areas. She brings deep expertise in place-based and locally focused investment, with additional experience in housing, economic opportunity, health, food and agriculture, technology, and other sectors.

Previously, she worked at Boundless Impact Research and Analytics, where she provided industry research and market analysis for investors looking to drive social and environmental change with their capital. She also worked for TMG Consulting, where she assisted with workforce development programs in southeastern Louisiana to enhance business expansion and diversification, strengthening the coastal economy and building resiliency in coastal communities affected by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill and Hurricane Katrina.  Abby graduated from Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a concentration in urban studies.
